Jason Lien honored for contributions to the Precast/Prestressed Concrete Industry
Denver, CO— 4/11/2024 — EnCon United, the parent company of several leading architectural and structural prestressed/precast concrete companies located across the United States, is pleased to announce that their Executive Vice President, Jason Lien, PE, FPCI, has been recognized as a Titan of the Industry by the Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute (PCI).
A well-deserved recipient of the coveted honor, PCI credited him as an early adopter of building information modeling (BIM), revolutionizing the speed and accuracy with which precast concrete shop drawings are developed. “Colleagues and peers praise his passion and expertise and note that without his in-depth knowledge, the pre-cast concrete industry’s use of BIM would not be where it is today,” said PCI during the awards ceremony. He has also advanced PCI’s educational mission by contributing to the sixth and seventh editions of the PCI Design Handbook and through his continuous support of the PCI Foundation and Online Academy.
“I am humbled and honored by this. I am in awe that my body of work is in parity with the other award recipients,” Lien deferentially responded. This year, PCI named 10 “PCI Titans of the Industry” for their exceptional and unique contributions to the precast concrete industry. The prestigious honor is awarded only to dedicated industry professionals that provided exceptional contributions and have demonstrated outstanding leadership, service, and innovation. They were honored at the 2024 PCI Convention in Denver, Colo.
“It was an honor to meet and talk with the members of the 2024 class of PCI Titans of the Industry at the 2024 PCI Convention,” said PCI President and CEO Bob Risser. “Seeing so many exceptional stalwarts of the precast concrete industry in one place was inspirational. Our industry is strong and has a bright future thanks to the 10 deserving Titans who were selected by their colleagues and fellow PCI members. PCI began the honor in 2004 to celebrate their 50th anniversary. Since then, PCI Titans are nominated and honored every ten years on the anniversary of the Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute.
