EnCon Companies is a national leading precast concrete manufacture supplying over 20 states with engineered concrete solutions.  With PCI certified plants in Georgia, Colorado, and Arizona, EnCon supplies prestressed and precast systems for Office Building, Parking Structures, Stadiums, Enclosure Systems, Industrial Projects, and DOT Infrastructure Projects.

Entry Level Design Engineer

Preparation of required designs and details for assigned projects, with consideration of:

  • Structural integrity, production safety, economical production with consideration of handling, transportation, and installation procedures.
  • Design assumptions, procedures, analysis, and results are based on company standards and procedures with consolidated results presented the calculation package.
  • Connection design assumptions, procedures, analysis, and results are based on company standards and procedures with consolidated results presented in the calculation packaged.
  • Consideration of budget for materials, labor, and sequence may require solicitation of plant and field personnel to ensure the best and final design concept is chosen.

Preparation and consolidation of calculation for submission and review by others.

  • Ensure that design and details are prepared and transferred to the design team or Project Manager in a clear and timely manner, with minimum supervision.
  • Assist in management of projects with consideration of budget and schedule.
  • Review plans, details and specifications and provide interpretation of the same, identify deficiencies and assist with resolution.
  • Ensure accuracy of work and adhere to company standards and procedures.
  • Provide technical assistance to other departments as required.
  • Be informed of current developments within the company and the industry and be vigilant in finding new ways to improve efficiency and economy.

Entry Level Field Engineer

  • Must be capable of understanding and implement health, safety and environmental procedures on site in accordance with legislation and company policy to ensure safety of all workers and protection of public.
  • Work with others to help coordinate field labor, materials and equipment to complete predefine tasks.
  • Support the field staff with, scheduling, developing and tracking test samples and results.
  • Identify areas where additional support and supervision is critical to the success of the project.
  • Assist in construction layout and surveying controls.
  • Perform quantity takeoffs.
  • Compile RFI documentation, track results, and disseminate information.
  • Compile QA/QC documents.

Entry Level Preconstruction Associate

  • Provide primary technical support to the sales process by modeling and demonstrating solutions utilizing precast prestressed products and systems.
  • Provide technical detail of product take – offs and potential value engineering options.
  • Work with Design to accurately reflect product geometry, product locations, and preliminary design information.
  • Work with Field Services to accurately reflect erection sequence, site logistics, and safety information.
  • Review plans, details and specifications, provide interpretation of same, identify deficiencies and assist with resolution to ensure proper take off, estimate and schedules are communicated internally and externally.
  • As assigned, maintain point of contact through the contract phase of the sales process to ensure scope, inclusions, exclusions, and schedule are mutually agreed up by project team and company.
  • Assist the AEC community with project opportunities to position precast as the material of choice.
  • Interact with general contractors, architects, engineers, owners and developers to be a resource representing the EnCon companies.
  • Create positive and professional relationships with current and potential customers as well as the construction community as a whole.
  • Help to distinguish EnCon and its subsidiaries as the preferred precast partner.
